    Glitchy graphics

Post  Kinslayer on Mon Feb 22, 2010 8:27 pm

Well, it used to do a lot more often then now but when it does, it's pretty fucking weird, I can tell you that. Here's an example of what my screen looks like after a split second lag:

Now, you see the objects are outlined bright pink. I've seen walls having an LSD trip, walls disappearing, the floor being translucid, pretty much everything. Here's my sweet personalized pink M21:

The issue here is clearly a driver and I manged to fix the problem a while ago with manually updating the said drivers. But. Thing is, right now, I have all the latest drivers and it's getting slightly irritating to play while you have a full-on LSD balls to the walls trip going on and trying to get a clear shot. Although, it's still sometimes fun to see the OPfor showing as bright blobs of white or red and picking them off ridiculously easy. But I usually disconnect and join again to be fair... anyways, anyone know of a solution? Or if no solution is offered, more caps of glitches?

Well in CoD4 it's really bad. I had a few minor glitches in Burnout Paradise but they were fixed with some setting changes. CoD4 still acts out like this at least once a game in average.

So manly, I kept on playing and popped so many heads. I'm currently trying to cap one where the walls are all bright lime green. Meanwhile, you guys must've experienced things like these in games before they were patched. This is just... vista and my laptop's intolerance towards it.

This just happened, first time something completely out of control happens, still currently updated as far as my drivers are concerned. You can see the turbo bar and the map of Burnout Paradise perfectly, just strange...

I somewhat wish it would be that, then I would know how to fix it. No, it acts up like this in CoD4 and Burnout Paradise, had few minor glitches in BFBC2 but that was because of the lag (going through walls, dying in a spot where i have no idea how i reached...). Checked my drivers, all updated, nothing is marked as crashing of having errors, it's like the computer doesn't realize something wrong happened.

what kinda Gfx card is it and is there any way u can take a temp on it while its running a game (i.e temp gun or alt+tab out and use something like fanspeed or nvidia control panel) also sometimes the newest drivers arnt always the best drivers as some are manufacture specific.

Well this in not an issue anymore since all of this happened while gaming on my laptop and well, my laptop was stolen 2 months ago. Definitely not my problem anymore lol
